My Journey

Hi! Thank you so much for visiting my site. I am honored you are here and excited to share my story with you.

I am a Certified Holistic Health Coach.  I received my training through the Institute of Integrative Nutrition to pursue my mission of wanting to help people feel their best through simple and attainable nutrition and lifestyle changes.

My journey began with my own health struggles. In the 6th grade, I was diagnosed with having an ulcerated stomach.  I had to deal with awful acid reflux and various digestive issues for years, relying on over the counter medications to make me feel better. Fast forward to freshmen year of high-school - I was diagnosed with thyroid cancer.  This caused me to have to have my thyroid gland removed and created various hormonal issues I still face today. These major moments in my life have spiraled into so many issues like low energy, bloating, restless sleep, anxiety, horrible periods/menstrual cramps and more! Now you are probably thinking that I knew I wanted to be a health coach since the 6th grade…. well, not exactly.

After graduating from Fairfield University, I pursued another interest of mine, fashion. I landed a job at an amazing fashion PR agency in NYC that I was lucky enough to call a second home for almost 5 years! While I loved my job and my coworkers - some of whom are still my closest friends - I still wasn’t fulfilled. I knew deep down that I had a love for health and wellness and in 2015, a dear friend of mine informed me about the Institute of Integrative Nutrition. I was able to take the course while still working full time, so I went for it. After graduating from IIN in 2016, I was still working in fashion, but more importantly I was working on myself to overcome some of my many health issues and start to achieve some balance in my life.

The last two pieces to my puzzle are meditation and yoga. Through IIN, I met my meditation coach and over the past two years I have learned to develop not only a meditation practice, but a sense of mindfulness in my everyday life. It was through my meditation that I was able to gain clarity around my purpose and take a leap. I realized that, yes, the food we eat is extremely important but having a sense of spirituality and connection to oneself is invaluable.  We also need to move our bodies. My mom introduced my siblings and me to yoga at a young age and over the years I always found myself going back to my mat.

So what was my leap?

In September 2017, I quit my job, moved to LA, completed my 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training through YogaWorks. After gaining that foundational knowledge of yoga, I knew I was ready to fulfill another dream of mine and deepen my knowledge of Thyroid Yoga®, a special type of yoga and holistic lifestyle founded by Fern Olivia. I had the pleasure of meeting Fern at a workshop in New York City and given my history, her technique and training really spoke to me. I knew this training was my next step so I too could offer this specialized type of yoga and lifestyle to the world.

What makes me different?

I am not here to tell you that you can never eat sweets again or never have a glass of wine. I realize that you probably have a demanding job, a packed social calendar and you simply just want to feel your best while still living your life. I am here to help support clients making realistic changes through a tailored program that speaks to the individual’s needs and goals, all of which is rooted in the concept of mindfulness. The end result? A balanced lifestyle that leads to optimal health and happiness.
